Making a Reservation

Welcome to the Columbia Law Library Study Room Reservation System.

Before proceeding with your reservation, please note the following policies:

  • Study rooms can be reserved by current Columbia Law affiliates only.

  • Study rooms may be reserved for up to two hours each day per individual using the room.

    • Reservations may be extended up to 1 hour, subject to availability, by visiting the circulation desk.

  • Study rooms can be booked up to 3 days in advance.

When booking a room, be sure to scroll down and click Submit Times then Submit My Booking. Until you do so, your room is not reserved.

When you have successfully booked a seat, you will get an email confirmation, including a confirmation code. This email can take up to 10 minutes to arrive. Please bring this confirmation code to the Law Library Circulation Desk. You will need your student ID and confirmation code to receive the key to your reserved study room. Please be on time, the reservation will be canceled, and another person may reserve the room after a 30 minute grace period.

If you encounter any difficulty in booking a room less than three days in advance, please contact the Circulation Desk either by email (circdesk@law.columbia.edu), by telephone (212-854-3922), or stop by in person for assistance.
